Olantra: The City of Glass

Olantra is a beacon of light in a dark world. It is a Scientific Node that has reached the pinnacle of development (Stage 6 Metropolis). It looks less like a fortress and more like a university campus designated by the gods.

Exceptational Mechanic: Teleportation

In Ashes of Creation, fast travel is almost non-existent. You walk, you ride, or you take a boat. Except in a Scientific Metropolis. Citizens of Olantra can use the Spire to teleport to its Vassal Nodes (satellite towns). This creates a massive logistical advantage for moving troops or goods.

The Government: A Meritocracy

Scientific nodes are run by Democracy.

  • The Election: Every citizen gets a vote.
  • The Campaign: Politics here are real. Players hold rallies, give speeches, and make promises (or bribes) to secure the majority.
  • The Vibe: It is civilized, bureaucractic, and incredibly powerful.
